Matt Considine is a professional travel photographer, specializing in Nature, Wildlife, People, Culture, Lifestyle and Historic & Boutique Hotels in Asia and around the world.
Based in Hong Kong, Matt has traveled to more than fifty countries, though his main focus is Asia. He travels extensively every year and is continually expanding his portfolio and catching up on past shoots.
Matt has been traveling and taking photos for more than twenty five years, and remembers a time when he used to return from trips with twenty or thirty rolls of film. He has been shooting digital now for several years.
Matt also specializes in photographically centered editorials on the best travel destinations and experiences around the world. Matt is also currently working on several travel photography books.

About the Blogs
My blogs are all about photography and travel. Amongst other things, I will talk about my mission to capture the essence of the places I visit. When I say essence I mean the thing that is special about that place. Obviously this is subjective, but of course it will involve my experience of the place, the culture and people, their history, religion and circumstances.
One thing I have noticed is how welcoming people are, and particularly in the more remote places, how curious they are. I have also been repeatedly surprised by the strength of many cultures. Far from falling under the influence western culture, many of the people I visited maintain a thriving and vigorous traditional cultural life.
Surprisingly, and notwithstanding the cultural differences between peoples, I have also observed just how similar we all are. The more I travel, the more I see that the things we human beings have in common and not our difference dominate our lives. I will talk about this more in the blog stories.
In addition I will discuss some interesting travel stories and experiences and of course from time to time I will discuss the travel photography techniques, gear and choice of subject, choice of destinations.
On the blog I will announce new galleries and substantial additions to existing galleries after revisiting places.
