India - Agra, Delhi

31 images Created 14 May 2010

Agra is the hometown of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a beautiful building and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. It is not easy to get a unique image, but with some effort it can be done.

The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan commissioned the Taj Mahal in 1632 as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

One theory is that the Shah also planned a counterpart for himself in black on the opposite bank. However he was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb in the nearby Red Fort before he could carry out this plan.

My images are available as high resolution rights managed download, quality fine art prints, and print on canvas.
