Underwater Caverns & Caves

19 images Created 6 Nov 2013

There is something about the light in underwater caverns and caves that seems almost otherworldly.

  • Blue Holes is one of the best dives in Palau. The light creates a cathedral like atmosphere, giving the diver a sense of vast the volume of the cave Palau Micronesia. (Photo by Matt Considine - Images of Asia Collection)

  • Leaving the aptly named Temple of Doom, with divers in Blue Holes. Even a few feet from the entrance and exit, there is no light or means of orientation. Even with plenty of artificial light and air, it is easy to see why divers have died here, Palau Micronesia. (Photo by Matt Considine - Images of Asia Collection)

  • Silas tunnel in Palau has a long section where at one point there is very little light, as you move through the tunnel, the exit becomes visible and appears to radiate a deep blue, typical of the clear waters around Palau Micronesia. (Photo by Matt Considine - Images of Asia Collection)
