  • Many people in India carry on much of their normal life outside.  At night there is very little light and as you walk around people suddenly emerge out of the darkness as they live out quiet scenes like this one.<br />

  • It is wonderful to wander deep into the dark backstreets of Varanasi and to discover these  dimly lit stalls, emerging like beacons from night. I could imagine that these stalls may have well been carrying on the same business wilh only minor changes for thousands of years.<br />
